A couple of weeks ago, someone challenged me to add a blog to my site and then get to blogging. I initially looked at her sideways because I am NOT a writer. I love to read but hell if I can get the punctuation shit right. Anyway, I committed to the blog, then freaked out, because I didn't know what to write about. So I do what I always do when I'm overwhelmed...I procrastinate.
So here I am with hours to go before my deadline and tired as crap, like so tired my brain is practically empty. But I have to write something, since I promised. So here is what I want to talk about. Why do people not tell you that having and running your own business is so fucking hard! So many people tell you how rewarding it is to be your own boss, and it is...and isn't!
I love what I do, LOVE IT! However I'm not just making products and selling products. I also have to MARKET my products and have a social media presence, get what feels like a million and one things done, be engaging, stand on my head while balancing a plate of cookies, eat the cookies while filming myself while doing it all! Holy shit, it's exhausting! I'm not complaining...much. I just want to be real and honest and that is what I'll be on this blog. I'll be talking about my ups, downs and everything in between with the hopes of entertaining and enlightening. Whatever is in my head is what you'll be subjected to. So strap in and follow along.
